It is the responsibility of the county clerk to issue, register, record and keep various county records including legal and land records.
Legal records such as deeds, name changes, mechanics liens, mortgages, powers of attorney, wills, corporations, tax liens, military discharges, trademarks, assignments, releases, marriages, and delinquent property taxes can be viewed at the Fleming County Courthouse. Land records can be view there as well or online through the ecclix.com system.
The County Clerk is responsible for conducting all elections including Primary, General and Special elections.
The County Clerk is also responsible for all the various aspects of elections including registering and purging voter rolls, providing election forms and election results.
Motor vehicle licensing is the most widely used service of the County Clerk’s office.
